Like many Canadians, you probably take pride in having an attractive lawn. A green and healthy lawn is easy to achieve with a bit of work.

A little effort now will save you a lot of effort later, because a healthy lawn is less vulnerable to pests, weeds, drought and other problems.

Together with a Just Grass program you will be the envy of all your neighbors!

1. Mow High – Mow your lawn every 5-10 days to a height of 2 inches. This height
(instead of cutting shorter) will promote growth, prevent weeds and reduce insect pests.
2. Water Deeply – Water your lawn every 2-3 days for 45 minutes in the morning when
needed. Too much water starves the soil of oxygen and invites disease.
3. Over seed – Seed your lawn every spring and fall, immediately after raking and water
every day for 10 minutes for 2 weeks. We recommend Scott’s Coated Grass Seeds.
4. Feed – During extreme hot weather periods throughout the summer, add top soil to all
yellow areas on the lawn to help protect the grass. In the fall, add grass seeds to the
same areas and you will have a stronger lawn next year.
5. Check – Check your lawn once a month to detect pests and other problems early.
